MINIBEAST HUNT I found this money spider in my garden it only has four leg but fortunately if a spider loses a leg, then provided it still has at least one more moult left in its life cycle it's able to grow a new leg. In most species the new leg is thinner and shorter than the original leg. Not only does In most species the new leg is thinner and shorter than the original leg. the shedding allow for growth, but it will allow for regeneration too. In order to increase its size, the spider has to form a new, larger cuticle exoskeleton and shed its old one (this is called moulting). Moulting occurs frequently when a spider is young, and some spiders may continue to moult throughout their life

MINIBEAS T HUNT Found this on a tree in our garden and identified it as THE CINNABAR MOTH (Tyria jacobaeae) it is a brightly coloured arctiid moth found as a native species in Europe and western and central Asia. It has been introduced into New Zealand, Australia and North America to control the ragwort plant, on which its larvae feed.
