Mind map (Mulan) I can go down the route of the same story as the Legends from Sui and Tang. Where as Mulan goes back to her home town and finds out her dad has died and has to become the emperors concubine and then commits suicide. I could make it sort of the same story as the original where she is trying to go into war but is following her fathers footsteps where it is actually her mother pretending to be a man, she is doing this because her husband was a Mongolian (like the story off Romeo and Juliet where they are on different sides and they are trying to stay safe, however the Chinese are after them, Mulan The Chinese would kill him if they saw him, however the Mongolians saw him sneak back to there base and he has killed for bedrail). Mulan goes into the war winning it, she goes back to her home town and has found out the emperor/king has killed her mother (pretending to be her father because she was caught pretending to be a girl). The only thing she loves is the people she fights for before her mother dies and her family which was only her mother and father but he died when Mulan was very young. To release stress with her mother the emperor and her mothers mishaps, she eats berries from the most delict trees from the hometown which calm her down, however it’s a drug and it makes her see a small dragon, but she is hallucinating. The dragon is there to be a distraction to her and the reader.

Characters. Mulan a woman who wants to follow her mothers footsteps. (takes a lot of berries-drugs). Mulan mother (Nala) a mother/father icon. Dragon named Ushum, the dragon Mulan sees when she takes the berries. The emperor (Qin Shi Huang), he sees him self as a good man however deep down he is very evil. The Father (don’t know much about him).

The style I have gone for is a more depressing style.
