Act 114/1992 Sb. (Nature conservation act) last amended 2004 • described a duty of establishing Natura 2000 • listed authorities in the field of nature conservancy among them you can find „military area administration“ (also parish, NP, PLA, Mo. E )

Military training areas § We have 2 abandoned previous Soviet army military training areas (MTA) but both are now under civil authority. § There are now 5 existing MTA in CR (excluding those, which are very small like shutting ranches etc) § Three of them (!) are proposed SPA for Natura 2000 network.

But. . . § But for all of them are plans for ski resorts etc. - which are able to destroyed and eat away nature value. § Especially MTA ( and SPA) Boletice is really endangered by activities of Southbohemian region (land). Hetman (marshal) Zahradnik is really aggrieved to changing MTA to the ski resort.

But, but. . § MTA Doupovské hory is a special case : in the first moment it looks that flash out a big conflict between army and nature conservancy. But on the end army accepted all limitations and agreed with SPA as a part of Natura 2000.
