Tunisia • Tunisia; like other middle eastern countries is changing dramatically during present times. This country has suffered under the rule of a dictator and has revolted against their current leader. The streets of Tunisia are filled with anarchy and chaos. This is also the battlefield for the Libyan revolution that is currently underway.
Algeria • The middle eastern country of Algeria is the second largest country in Africa. Mostly covered by desert, Algeria’s government has been in an ongoing war with Islamic militants for many years to present times. The main cause of this war is from the Algeria government canceled the election of an Islamic party that had seemed destined to win. In 2011 riot participants protested for a change in government resulting from the previous toppling of government in Tunisia and Egypt a few months before.
Egypt • Egypt; one of the most common names in the middle eastern region has revolted against their autocratic rule. Egypt civilians protested and rioted against their ruler and caused so much panic and frenzy that the current ruler of Egypt gave up his power to the military and left the country. Protesters now believe Egypt is free and this revolt has inspired other common/middle eastern countries to defect against their country for a revolution.
Libya • Libya is currently at war with it’s self. The powerful dictator of Libya; Moammar Gadhafi , is fighting against a revolt for his impeachment/death. Gadhafi is killing the rebels against him by any means of digression. He is using air attacks, ground raids, and many other tactics to flush out any opposing rebels in an ongoing revolution in Libya.
Saudi Arabia • Saudi Arabia is currently remaining almost neutral in their neighboring countries revolutions. Saying that Saudi Arabia is fine at the moment and will not get involved, and will allow all various types of citizens to have a say so in the government’s topics and issues. This I believe will allow the country to remain at peace until the revolts press on and Saudi Arabia joins in for a revolution. There are foreigners from neighboring countries trying to come into Saudi Arabia and cause unrest, but not much has been done to influence the countries revolt against their government. Saudi Arabia is a very big target of these revolts and may possibly become involved.
Jordan • Jordan is a certain unrest and at great economic crisis. Jordan is although considered one of our most important allies in the middle east. Jordan doesn't seem to be fine at the moment but is still in a wondering state. Many talk of an uprising but others also say that the uprising is false and has shown no eye opening reports of civil unrest. Jordan is on edge but they don’t believe in an uprising.
Yemen • Yemen is at a time of minor crisis, but not yet under a chaotic state. Many people protest for Islamic rule, others protest to keep the current government. Rebels say that the military of Yemen fired mortars at the rebels during a peaceful protest killing two. The military says that they only fired a mortar at the rebels during a hostile military takeover. The situation is currently resolved but probably not forgotten. This seems to be the only breakout that has sparked a commotion so far.
Syria • Syrian forces are not under a protesting revolt but are currently some of the main supporters for Al Qaeda and are becoming an on going threat for the United States. The U. S has found out about many nuclear potential threats/attempts. These threats were neutralized with the help of the middle eastern allies of the U. S.
