MICROSOFT POWERPOINT • Microsoft Power. Point is another program in the Microsoft Suite. The program is used to allow users to create and design presentations and slideshows. This program had been the first really popular slideshow program in earlier years. Much like other programs in the Microsoft Suite, people still cling to Power. Point solely because that’s what they’re used to. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact Microsoft Power. Point is a great program that really allows users to go in-depth with how they would like to create their slideshow.
THE BASICS
When first opening up Microsoft Power. Point you the user will be brought to a screen much like the one shown to the right. From here you can sort through the different themes listed, once you’ve chosen a theme click on it.
Once theme has been chosen you’ll be brought to a screen much like the one shown below, it might be a bit different if you choose a different theme but other then theme everything else will remain the same.
The toolbar shown below is where all the basics editing tools are going to be. Its listed under the Home section. It’s much like the bar in Microsoft Word, there are just a few added options here such as New Slide. The option shown below are all apart of the Design section. Here you are able to change theme of your presentation and even the color scheme of theme you have chosen. This feature is what really make Microsoft Power. Point stand out.
Below is the options available for Transitions; what they do is change the movement from one slide to the next to add a little more “character. ” All of these options can be found under the Transitions section in the toolbar. Animations are almost the exact same thing as Transitions, however Animations affect how the Slide appears when you switch slides. These features be found under Animations on the tool bar shown below.
MICROSOFT POWERPOINT • Overall, Microsoft Power. Point is a fairly easy to use program and is quite reliable when to comes to the creative aspect and the tools given to you. The only issues are that Microsoft Power. Point is apart of the Microsoft Suite and does cost money. Other then that Microsoft Power. Point is a great program if you’re interested in buying the Microsoft bundle or already have it.
