Microscopy Check List • Center the image BEFORE going up! • Adjust light with diaphragm and lens underneath the stage. • When on Low power drive around the whole field and choose an area that is clear and well defined.

“ I can’t see anything? !? ” What do I do? ? ? • Go back down- back up one objective lens and CENTER whatever you want to look at! • Focus! Be sure what you want is perfectly in focus before you go up an objective lens. • Be sure your specimen is THIN and FLAT- remember the scope only focuses in one plane. • Adjust the light from underneath stage.
