What are micronutrients? Micronutrients are nutrients needed throughout life in small quantities. They are dietary minerals needed by the human body in very small quantities as opposed to macro minerals which are required in larger quantities. Micro nutrients help in these ways: plant vigor, winter hardiness, disease resistance, root development, flowering, uptake of nitrogen, shoot growth, and grain fill.
