MFL Competition • • • We are launching our new MFL fortnightly competition open to year 7 and year 8 students. Your first challenge is to create an annotated still life which represents what you and your family have been doing during lockdown and what you will do when it ends. This is an MFL competition so the annotations are really important. Please DO NOT use google translate for whole sentences. Use my examples as a guide. • Entries should fit on one A 4/A 3 sheet. • Option 1 – drawings of the objects on paper and hand written annotations >when you’ve finished take a picture of your work and attach to email • Option 2 – take a photo of the objects you have gathered, upload to your computer and copy into Power. Point as a background. Then, add typed annotations to the Power. Point (all on 1 slide though). • Deadline to enter: Sunday 17 th of May • Send your entries to Ms Simonnet-Balchin by email at c. simonnetbalchin@arbolingbrokeacademy. org Please include your full name and if you want to be entered for bronze, silver or gold in the subject of the email. • Winners will be announced in your MFL lesson on Wednesday 22 nd for Y 8 and Friday 24 th for Y 7. • The three winning entries will receive +20 Be Bold points and a golden ticket. Winners will also be displayed on the school website and hopefully in the MFL corridor when we get back to school • Step Everyone will receive +6 Behouse Boldwhich points for participating. Step 2 – Take a photo or draw a picture of these objects together as a still life. The image should include a variety of objects. Different sizes, colours and types of activity would be ideal. Step 3 – Decide which level you are entering: bronze, silver or gold. Annotate each object in French or Spanish using full sentences. (You may want to do a draft first. ) Step 4 – Take a picture of your annotated drawing so you can email it or directly attach the Power. Point slide. Ms Simonnet -Balchin’s very quick Example Pendant et après le confinement C’est un livre intéressant en français. Ma mère lis tous les soirs pendant le confinement. Voici un jeu d’échecs. Mon frère et ma sœur jouent aux échecs. (=during and afterlockdown) Voici mon livre de français. J’utilise ce livre pour préparer les cours pour les années 10. Pendant le confinement je mange beaucoup de chocolat et de biscuits car je suis un peu triste. Après le confinement je vais manger plus de légumes comme le cèleri.
