Notes n n When converting a measurement from 1 unit to another a) when going up the chart (ex. dm km), divide by 10 once for every step you go. This will move your decimal point one place to the left for every step.

Litres n n n Litres are measures of volume 1 l = 1 dm 3 1 ml = 1 cm 3 There are 1000 ml in 1 liter You can be asked to convert cubic units into litres. What will you do? Change into dm 3 or cm 3, then “cross the bridge”.
