Messy Play Activities Edible Slime Measure 14 cup
Messy Play Activities Edible Slime - Measure 1/4 cup of basil seeds into a bowl and add one full 16 oz box of cornflour. Mix them together (kid hands are really good at this part). Add food colouring (if desired) to 2. 5 cups of water. Add the water to your cornflour and seed mixture and stir well. You will ultimately end up kneading the slime like bread dough as over the span of 5 minutes, the seeds will begin to absorb the water and it will begin to thicken the mixture. If you find any clumps of seeds while kneading, break them up with your fingers. Once the slime is completely uniform feeling - you're good to go! Salt Sculptures - Add 3 cups of salt and 3 teaspoons of water to a bowl. Stir extremely well - every bit of salt should appear wet/crumbly. If there is still dry salt, continue to stir. Once your salt is uniformly crumbly and damp, spoon or pour it into your mold and press hard to compact it. Leave it in the mold for at least 12 hours (24 hours or more is best). After that, you can flip it over and it should slide out of the mold. Allow it to dry for an additional 12 or more hours (24 hours or more is ideal) after it's been removed from the mold. Check that it is dry and solid to the touch before painting it with liquid watercolors (or dilute food coloring). Once painted, it will be very delicate until it dries once again and moving it by hand will result in a crumbled sculpture.
Messy Play Activities Magic Foam Snowman - In a bowl or other container, measure out two cups of baking soda and add 2 Tablespoons of salt. Mix thoroughly. Add 1 tsp washing up liquid and mix it into the dough well. The dough should look crumbly. Next add 8 Tablespoons of water. If your dough will form a ball, you're all set. If it's still too dry and crumbly add water 1 Tablespoon at a time until you have a dough that moulds into a ball. It will not feel like playdough. But it should form into and hold a ball. Make and decorate your snowman and once you're ready to transform him into a mound of icy cold foam, add your vinegar! Pouring a cup filled with vinegar on him will also create a foamy explosion! Rainbow Foam-Doh- Foam Dough has two ingredients in a roughly one to one ratio – cornflour and shaving cream. Slowly add cornflour to each cup and stir until it starts looking ever so slightly doughy. Keep the dough on the wet side because it stays much fluffier. The more cornflour you add, the drier the dough, but it does lose some of that amazing foamy-puffy texture. Generally use more shaving cream than cornflour.
Messy Play Activities Magic Puffing Snow - In a large container, measure out 3 cups of baking soda and use your hands to break up any clumps. Measure out 1/4 cup shampoo and add 1 -2 drops of food colouring and stir them until combined. Add the coloured shampoo to the baking soda and using a spoon or your hands and mix until completely combined. Add 5 Tablespoons of water and mix until completely combined. The dough should be crumbly, but hold together if compacted. In this state, you can play with it for quite awhile building and sculpting. Once you're ready for it to start puffing, sprinkle 1/4 cup citric acid powder evenly over the top of the dough and mix it until well combined. It will start puffing up within about a minute and continue for around 1 hour
