Mia Parker is 10 years of age. She is a female who is not considered your normal average student. She is currently in Year 4 and has already begun puberty. Early menstruation is common, however, it does not happen to a lot of young girls. Early Menstruation is due to various factors including: - Heredity - Poor nutrition - Obesity - Social Factors - Environmental Contamination Mia Parker, not only suffers from early menstruation, but also had to suffer from her parents divorce when she was 5 years of age. She lived a hard life, always knowing that her father would never be there for her. This lead to a second home for Mia in the before and after school care and at her grandparents house, as her mother worked full time. Mia now faces the challenges of a new father as her mother has decided to re-marry. Mia is to be recognised as a brave strong young girl who will mature into a fine young woman before her friends and who was raised by a single-parent, whom she looks up to everyday, as her role model.

MACROSYSTEM Macrosystem: “Incorporates the set of values or cultural belief systems around which life in a society is organised, and which are passed on through families, schools, churches and other social and government institutions. ” Mass Media Society
CHRONOSYSTEM Chronosystem: “This system encompasses the dimension of time as it relates to a child’s environments. Elements in this system can be both internal and external.
