Case 4 History 55 year old female n 4 months prior the pt. was

Case 4 History 55 year old female n 4 months prior the pt. was awoken by a large screech in her right ear, when she opened her eyes she noticed intense vertigo causing excessive vomiting n Pt was admitted for four days into the hospital MRI and CT were negative for any pathology, diagnosed with vestibular neuronitis at that stay n

History Cont’ n She notes that she is unable to sleep laying back on

History Cont’ n She notes that she is unable to sleep laying back on her bed or turning to the right due to vertigo n She states that vertigo only occurs when moving her head rapidly from side to side n Non-pulsitile tinnitus is constant in the right ear

Diagnosis n Differential diagnosis includes idiopathic Meniere’s disease as one of the possibilities –
