Meet Kerry Reeve Head of Department • I have worked at Gateway College for nearly 18 years. • The best thing about my job is meeting new students, their families and watching you grow, learn and achieve your qualifications. • I feel proud of all the students who study in our area. • I teach on lots of different courses and subjects we offer in our area. • You can come and talk to me at any time. • I can help you if you have problem at college, with friends or at home. • I love spending time with my family and friends when I am not working!

Meet Hannah Bishop • I have worked at Gateway College for 11 years. • I currently teach on the Art/Media course, but have taught many of the subjects in our department before. • The best thing about my job is getting to know the students and watching their confidence grow. I also enjoy meeting their families. • I am available any time if you want to speak about anything that is bothering you. I work with Kerry to help look after you. • I think all the staff in our department are great and we all really want you to do your very best when you are at Gateway College. • I enjoy cycling when I’m not at college, and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Laura Brewin • I have worked at Gateway College for 6 years • The best thing about my job is when students improve in Maths and English. • I teach Maths and I am the Curriculum Leader for Maths and English • I work part-time but you can always get me on my email lbrewin@gateway. ac. uk • I love spending time baking and gardening.

Meet Vikram Goraniya • I have worked at Gateway College for 10 years. • I currently teach Supported Internship, Sports and Public Services L 1, COPE and PSD L 1. • The best thing about the job is to see the students succeed and progress in their education and life skills. • I can help you develop lots of different skills and qualities to help you achieve your goals. • I love playing sports and socialising when I am not at work. • You can always come to me if you need to talk to someone or if you need help and advice.

Meet Annie Aitken • My name is really Anne-Marie but most people call me Annie. • I have worked as a teacher at Gateway for 4 years and a support worker for 11 years before that. So I really love working here! • I am the teacher and tutor for IT students but I also teach on other courses as well. • The best thing about my job is getting know the students in my group and helping them achieve their goals. • I think that Gateway is great place to study and make friends because everyone is friendly and supportive. • In my free time I enjoy watching films and sitting in my garden. This year I have also started running to get fit and have completed some virtual races.

Meet Mandip Kaur § I have worked at Gateway for 14 years. § I started as a support worker and then supported internship teacher at Gateway. § I enjoy working as part of the LLW team and teaching all the wonderful students we have. § I am a tutor and always happy to support and help my students when they need. § Seeing my students achieve goals and complete their courses makes me very proud. § I love spending time with my family and friends when I'm not at work.

Meet Tazeen Shamsi Some of the things I have recently enjoyed watching, reading and listening to. • I have had eleven awesome years teaching at Gateway College. • You can call me Taz if you like. • I teach Functional English and Retail in the LLW Department. • I am approachable and will help you learn how to pass your English exams. • I love seeing how my students progress over the year. • I like going for walks , reading, listening to music and watching feel good movies.

Meet Nilpa Jethwa • I have worked at Gateway College for 17 years. • I work in LLW and currently teach Health and Social Care, Personal Social development and COPE, all at level 1. • I really enjoy working with students and helping them achieve their goals. I love seeing the progress students make though their time with us. • As a tutor I'm here to identify your individual needs and set targets for you to work on. I’m also here to help support you with any other issues you may have. • In my free time I like to go shopping, watch films and go out for meals with my family and friends.

Meet Sophie Hayman • I have worked at Gateway for 17 years. • I teach Functional Skills English. • I love helping students to gain confidence and improve their English skills. • In my free time I love camping, skiing, travelling, reading and baking.
