Meditation Monday Today’s meditation starts in a sitting position. You can be in a chair or on the floor, but sitting is key to this one today. Once you’re in position, we can begin.

Meditation Monday From sitting position, imagine you have a balloon pulling your head and body up towards the ceiling, feel the balloon pull your head and back up with the balloon, straightening and extending your spine.

Meditation Monday As your spine straightens, take a deep breath in through your nose

Meditation Monday As your spine straightens, take a deep breath in through your nose for 3 seconds, hold it in for 3 more, and exhale for 3 out your mouth. Repeat this for three cycles.

Meditation Monday Once you’ve done this, think about some things that are worrying you

Meditation Monday Once you’ve done this, think about some things that are worrying you or are things you need to take care of. Name them to yourself as you change your breaths to counts of 5. Feel a rope extending from the base of your spine to the ground, anchoring you to the Earth. Repeat your breaths for 5 cycles.

Seven cycles of breathing, followed by a cycle of five second breathing will complete today’s meditation. Your goal is to do your best this month to tackle the issues and turn them into successes.
