(Or you personally? ) 1500 BC – Greeks still used religion for medicine and healing 1665 – Great Plague still happening and no understanding of how it is spreading. 1948 – First day of our NHS. 1895 – X-Rays developed 1570 - Ambroise Pare discovered ligatures to stop bleeding after surgery. 1799 – Humphry Davy discovers pain relief using laughing gas.
