• Media: a term used for how information or new things are given to us, it could be through Mobile phones, TVs, Radios, Newspapers. • Drama: this is a genre for productions, which means that the production is very dramatic which could intrigue some viewers. • Lens: a lens is a part of a camera which you use to zoom in and out on a subject for when you are taking a picture. • Camera: the object you use to take pictures or videos which will be used in your production. • Interview: an interview is when you are asking someone questions and getting their thoughts and opinions.

• Production: a production is when you are making something like a documentary or a film and it is when you are filming and editing. • Pre-Production: this is when you plan everything before filming and editing. When you create your storyboard, treatment and storyboard. • Post-Production: this is the stage in between your production and your final copy. • Audience Reaction Sheet: this is when your audience gives you feedback about your production and say what they liked and didn’t like. • Photoshop: when you create edits by changing or adding new things into images or taking from images.

• Script: when you write down what will happen in your production and how certain things happen. • Mood Board: a collection of images which represent a certain thing. • Storyboard: a storyboard is when you draw what will happen in your production and next to the drawing you explain what it is. • Studio: a studio is a place where you film certain bits like interviews or news reports etc. • Green Screen: a green screen is something in a studio you put a long green thing behind you and you film your production. When you edit it, the green screen makes it easier to add a background of anything you want.

• Treatment: a treatment is a piece that you write explaining your idea for your production. • Brainstorm: a brainstorm is when you are planning things for your production you think of things that you may want in it, these are your initial ideas as you may change something in the future. • Lighting: lighting is an important thing in media production because the audience need to be able to see the people and the things in the production. • Sound/audio: the audio is also important in media production as they need to hear things like speech and music but it is also important to control volume levels. • Series: a series is a set or sequence of a production.
