Conclusions • The axially symmetric MHD model of the solar wind (SW) is developed.

Conclusions • The axially symmetric MHD model of the solar wind (SW) is developed. • The distribution of SW characteristics for equatorial streamers with one and three adjacent neutral lines is studied. • It is shown that the streamer belt with three adjacent neutral lines can be elongated in the SW and be supported as stable structures in the modeling area from 20 to 400 Earth’s radii. • Profiles of the radial and azimuthal magnetic components, as well as profiles of current densities tend to be steepened proportionally to the distance from the Sun. Plasma density and temperature for a Sun’s dipole magnetic field have similar profiles characteristic for heliospheric current sheet with a single maximum current density. • To observe the change of magnetic flux at the edges of the streamer, the number of neutral lines within it should be odd.
