BLOOD PRESSURE Normal Range: 90/60 -140/90 Measures blood pressure on arterial walls –B/P HYPERTENSION: High blood pressure can weaken the heart over time HYPOTENSION: Low blood pressure can cause dizziness when not enough blood gets to the brain ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION-sudden drop in blood pressure when going from lying to standing SYSTOLIC- Pressure during hearts contraction Top number of B/P DIASTOLIC- Pressure in-between beats-bottom number
