(Class tests) Is the process of gathering and organising data for the purpose of decision making – Promote, Retain, Progress (Tests, exams, observations) Refers to the alignment of numbers through a set of procedures that obtain numerical descriptions of the degree of progress. (Raw scores, percentile ranks, standard scores, derived scores) Procedures to determine if subject or intervention met the criteria. It is concerned with making judgements on the worth or value of a performance. Obtaining, analysing and interpreting data to determine if objective is achieved.
