“LEARNING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN TEACHING”
The following principles are to be considered as the evaluations: • Considering , the interrelationship between objectives , instructions or learning experiences and evaluation. • Determine and clarify what is to be evaluated. • Knowing the strength and limitations of various evaluation technique. • Taking evaluation as a means to an end, not an end in itself. • Evaluation is a continuous process.
HOW IT’S A CONTINUOUS PROCESS? ? ?
KINDLY LOOK AT OHP
• Identifying & defining general objectives • Using the results as feedback • Identifying & defining specific objectives • Evaluating • Selecting teaching points • Planning suitable learning activities
& Types of evaluation
Evaluation is a judgmental process it reflects…………… BELIEFS ATTITUDE VALUES ……of the participants or students evaluation.
FEASIBILITY EVALUATION MAINTENANCE EVALUATION TYPES FORMATIVE OR DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION SUMMATIVE OR CERTIFYING EVALUATION
Once again I would like to request you all to look at OHP……….
CRITERION & NORM REFERENCED EVALUATION • Describes pupils performances according to specified domain(3) of clearly defined tasks. • Describes pupils performances according to relative positions in some known group.
