What is communication? Communication is the process through we exchanged ideas and information. There are various means of communication such as – Telephone, Post, Internet etc.

POSTAL AND TELEGRAPH SERVICES In the older times people used to write letters to inform each other about events and other things. In India the postal service started in 1837. There are various services to send letters, parcels, money from one place to another. Telegraphs were used to send messages from one place to another quickly. It was started in 1851 and came to an end in 2013.

ELECTRONIC METHODS There are various electronic means of communication like Fax - which sends recorded messages in the forms of letters and files. E-mail’s are the newest quick way of sending messages from one place to another in seconds. E-mails require internet service.

NEWSPAPER, RADIO AND TELEVISON Newspapers, Radios and TV’s are means of mass communication i. e informing a large number of people at once.
