Get up and dressed at the same time each day. Each learning space will be slightly different, but try to make sure your space has these characteristics: In a well-lit place (natural light is great if you can do it) Comfortable sitting and tabletop height (avoid sitting at the living room coffee table) Near a power outlet Decorate your space! Make it your own! CREATING A GOOD LEARNING SPACE
Have a notebook for each class. ( any kind, can be a one subject spiral or composition) Don’t wait until the day your lessons are due to start them. Pick days that are designated for each class to complete your work. Ask for help when needed. We are in this together! STAY ORGANIZED!!

MEC: CHARACTER ED PROGRAM Program’s Purpose The purpose of this program is to help students implement core values that can aid in them becoming academically and socially responsible students. This will be done by having students explore biweekly lessons that review core character principles: Responsibility, Empathy, Perseverance and Respect. CHARACTER EDUCATION Responsibility = Academic Achievement 1. Maintain a C average or higher. 2. Engage in your classes. Empathy = Emotional Regulation 1. Follow staff directions. 2. Exhibit control of words and actions. Perseverance = Character Strength 1. Complete and turn in all assignments. 2. Follow school rules. Respect = Social Development 1. Hold yourself accountable. 2. Respect yourself and others.
