4 Improving pile efficiency To be considered : • We may hit the 1 day limit for some of the simulation jobs • Need to check if prodsys 2 / mcore needs modifications to deal with more than one EVNT input file. • To reduce number of transfers we may need a new merging of the minbias • We need to test efficiency of 1 k, 2. 5 k jobs (would be 5 k possible) • Need to check with the Simulation guys the optimal usage and need of minbias events. We would propose to keep the 50 ns campaign (already running) with the current configuration and change for the 25 ns campaign (sign-off will happen soon). • We will get into troubles when with the minbias file ratio. Maybe it would be easier to keep the 1 k merged HITS… or just something a bit more efficient.

5 MC 15 & News • MC 15 simulation : • • we will start producing additional simulation for the 25 ns configuration. MC 15 Digi+reco : • once the 25 ns configuration is finished (missing trigger) we will start processing the existing MC 15 HITs with this configuration. • Extension of the existing HITs will only be processed with the 25 ns configuration (not 50 ns setup).
