Dowell students only in 9 -12 grades / Collegiate students who LIVE in Millcreek – MS Program is for students grades 4 -8 – any city. • Seasons: – Fall Ball (Now through October) OPTIONAL, FREE – Winter Ball (January – February) OPTIONAL, FREE • Some extras do have a nominal cost to participate – Official Season – Spring, Cost to Play March 5, 2018 – June 2018

Tournaments • Robert Morris University Colonial Classic: 7 V 7 Tournament in Pittsburgh – MS on October 21 – HS on October 22 • Cost last year was $50 / player (donation to “Hope for a Cure”) • Starts at 8 a. m. , all day. – You must REGISTER on your own – For every 10 -12 registered, we will take one team. • MS: Teams will be balanced based off experience and age. • HS: Teams will be determined based on Fall attendance, skill, experience and attitude.

Cost of the Program • We are not a funded sport so the players

Cost of the Program • We are not a funded sport so the players and their families bear the cost of playing • Most of the expenses are relatively fixed regardless of the number of players – referee fees, transportation costs, coaching fees, uniforms and warm-ups, etc. Therefore the more players we have, the lower the cost per player. Projected 2017 cost: – High School: $400 – Middle school: $175 • However, when compared to some other sports, the cost is reasonable • Hockey is ~$2500 per player

What Does the Cost Cover? • Last year, dues covered all home game expenses, including ref fees, programs and uniforms. Dues also covered new/needed equipment, coaching clinics and US Lacrosse Registrations. • This year dues will help cover: – – Ref fees, Off-season winter workouts, etc Pinneys for HS girls to keep Contribution to the Uniform Fund for future uniform needs Playoff Fund for travel to away playoff games Opportunities exist to help offset these costs!

Fundraising Opportunities We have another fundraising opportunity that will help the club meet it’s budgeting goals v. Sunflower Club Fundraiser v. This is being scheduled – More Information to come

How Fundraising Works • If a player participates in the fundraisers, their dues are

How Fundraising Works • If a player participates in the fundraisers, their dues are further reduced based on that player’s participation. • Also, players are credited for 75% of all sponsor money collected. • It is entirely possible to bring the balance due to ZERO without making any dues payments – in fact, we have a player who has accomplished this.

Sponsors • Both individuals and corporate sponsors are more than welcome. – If a

How YOU can get involved… • We can accomplish more with YOUR help! – We are always looking for help with fundraising opportunities and with preparations to support our girls – We understand that time is always at a premium and that making a commitment is difficult – Consider signing up for a position as a group and taking turns – If positions are not filled, this places a greater strain on the coaches
