MB MC The Law of Demand The benefit of an activity to an individual equals the highest price (including opportunity costs) she’d be willing to pay to pursue it (i. e. , the reservation price). ‘price’ needn’t be $$ Who gets a greater benefit from food, a malnourished African or an overfed American?
