Hydraulic Fluids Experience Extreme Temperature Changes At start-up in cold temperatures mono-grade hydraulic oils

Hydraulic Fluids Experience Extreme Temperature Changes At start-up in cold temperatures mono-grade hydraulic oils or low viscosity index hydraulic oils can be too thick. This can cause the following: 1. Hydraulic action is greatly diminished causing sluggesh operation or none at all. 2. Hydraulic pumps can become oil starved and Pump wear or failure can occur.

Hydraulic Fluids Experience Extreme Temperature Changes At hot operating temperatures mono-grade or low viscosity index hydraulic oils can be too thin. This can cause the following: 1. Hydraulic pumps can suffer wear, increased heat and possible pump failure. 2. Hydraulic operation can become erratic and unsafe. 3. Hydraulic pumps become very noisy. 4. Increased heat can cause shortened oil life.

Why Switch from Mono-Grade Hydraulic Oils to AMSOIL mehf? Operators are sometimes forced to change from ISO 22 in the winter to ISO 100 in the summer in order for their hydraulic systems to operate properly. By using AMSOIL mehf hydraulic oils (AW Series) operators can use one fluid year round with increased efficiency from productivity and/or fuel savings in mobile equipment.

Why Switch from Mono-Grade Hydraulic Oils to AMSOIL mehf? In this example, the efficiency gained by using AMSOIL in place of the two mono-grade oils is greater than 15%. This increase in efficiency can be in the from of increased production or from fuel savings in mobile equipment or a combination of both.
