County Strategies to Combat Homelessness • In February 2016, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved strategies C 4, C 5, and C 6 • The RFP process, including all three strategies, was completed in March 2017 • There were 7 successful proposers (community based agencies) serving all 8 SPAs

Who is eligible for CBEST? Individuals with disabilities who are experiencing homelessness or at

Who is eligible for CBEST? Individuals with disabilities who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. This includes but is not limited to older adults (65+), youth transitioning from foster care, and veterans. ~Eligibility for Medi-Cal (138% Poverty Level; income of $16, 395 for an individual)

Success Story 40 year old male, diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and experiencing homelessness for the past 15 yrs. CBEST advocates worked with DPSS to connect him to GR and Cal. Fresh within 1. 5 hours. Medi-Cal has been approved and we have already connected with DMH to begin treatment and documentation for an SSI application.
