Maximo at NIE Networks have two live instances of Maximo: ‘Maximo Plant’ – a largely vanilla implementation of base Maximo v 7. 6. 0 with no deployed add on packages, and with Fingertip as a mobility package. ● Originally installed in 1997 and has been through several upgrades since then. ● Used primarily as an asset register and maintenance management system for substations and associated plant at all voltages, as well as transmission and primary cables and calibrated tools. ‘Maximo Lines’ – a heavily customised implementation of Maximo for Utilities v 7. 5 with no deployed add on packages, and with Syclo as a mobility package. ● Working within NIE Networks since late 2017 – was brought in to replace a legacy, bespoke package for creating overhead line work packages. ● Used primarily as a tool to generate work packages for wood pole overhead lines from LV to 33 k. V using a combination of modified version of CU Estimating application and other custom tables and functionality. Work is ongoing to develop a business case to upgrade and/or consolidate these systems, however NIE Networks will need to work with and support these two systems until that is developed further. 3 7. 6 Upgrade with Fingertip nienetworks. co. uk

Project Initiation Tender process began early 2017 with Peacock Engineering being awarded the contract. Key Requirement: • Upgrade Maximo to the latest version • Replace customisation with configuration where possible • Enhanced asset move functionality based on business rules • Enhanced work order functionality based on business rules • Fully implement several work streams into the mobile solution • Mapping availability on mobile • A user friendly experience for mobile Proposed solution was to upgrade Maximo to version 7. 6. 0 and implement Fingertip (version 4. 2) as a replacement for the incumbent Syclo solution. 4 7. 6 Upgrade with Fingertip nienetworks. co. uk
