Verbal Power Robbers • I let myself be interrupted. • I don’t use my job title or last name during introductions. • I don’t use other’s names in conversation. • I state things as questions, not statements. • I talk about what I am not good at. • My voice goes up at the end of a statement. • I use qualifying words/hedges - (“Sort of”, “A little”, “Kind of”, “I hope that I will”). © Flynn Heath Holt Leadership 19
