Vladek explains the separation between him and Anja They registered the Jews with numbers • * Vladek and Anja’s experience in Aushwitz (concentration • • camps) -given a numbers - given shirt shoes and pants that usually didn’t fit. - cold shower - little food

Chapter 2 05 • Metafiction (p. 201 -206) • Vladek discovers Anya is alive (p. 212) • Vladek goes to see Anya and gets caught (p. 215 -216) • Vladek gets a job as a shoemaker with benefits (p. 220) • Anya gets chased by the polish guard (p. 225) • Vladek is an eyewitness for the gas chambers (p. 230 -232) • * Gas chambers • - Vladek is speaking to another man who has to take out the bodies.

Chapter 3 05 1. • MAUS II, chapter 3 key events Vladek and a couple of friends go to hide in an empty barrack in auschwitz during the evacuation. However there is a bomb threat and they have to leave. 2. the nazis start to march the jews out of the camps. * 3. a few of them try to run from the nazis, HOWEVER they end up getting shot. 4. the germans load up all the jews into a train car, and they starve them. 5. they go to barracks at dachau and many get typhus. vladek meets a french man. 6. they take the jewish people to switzerland on a train. 7. vladek is racist. • • *=WWII Death march begins

Chapter 3 02 • Maus Book II: Chapter 3 • 1)In chapter 3, Vladek and another person go on a death march with the rest of the jewish prisoners. • • • 2)They cramed all of the prisoners into trains that are meant for animals and they are transported back to germany. 25 of 200 survive. 3) Vladek ends up going to the infirmary for an infection in his hand but he keeps getting it infected so he can stay in the infirmary because its much nicer than the camp. 4) Some prisoners working in the gas chambers revolted. They killed 3 S. S. men and blew up a crematorium. They were killed afterwards. 5) at the end of chapter 3 valdek

Chapter 4 - 05 • The war ends making the jewish people think they are free. • -Red Cross boxes are given to the Jews, someone tries to steal Vladek’s. • • -Rumour comes to the jews that the germans plan to kill all the remaining jews that night. -The Americans arrive and free the jews from the nazis. -Vladek goes to an american base camp, where the conditions are better. -Vladek shows Artie all the remaining pictures of his family and the war. • End of the war.

Chapter 5 05 • Book 2 chapter 5 • -Artie gets a call from Mala saying that Vladek is sick in a Florida hospital • • • -Vladek got very sick with Typhus in the camp during the war. -Vladek and Anja manage to escape the camps seperately. -Vladek is still alive but very ill, and Anja is for told a new beginning along with another little boy(child). -Vladek and Anja find each other at last and are now free from the camps, hence the war has ended. -Vladek and Anja die.
