Supplementary Feeding Program Committed Supplementary Feeding Program for identified malnourished children. Children’s Month Celebration/State of the Children’s Address/ Universal Children Celebration Awareness campaign on the available services of the LGU in terms of the welfare of the children.
Day Care Workers Celebration Committed Appreciation of day care workers as service providers for children in preparing them to become assets of the nation. Lesson Learned Session on Barangay Council for the Protection of Children Strengthen and develop the capacity of barangay officials towards every child’s survival, protection, development and participation rights; and to establish and maintain a functional BCPC in very barangay.

IMPLEMENTATION > The LGU of Mauban has clear vision, mission and objectives while the LSWDO has its specific vision, mission, and goal. There is an existing IEC material about the office’s programs and services which are anchored on the LSWDO’s VMG available for the use of the Beneficiaries.
IMPLEMENTATION > The LSWDO is fully functional • an ample space for receiving and counselling of clients. • an available Manual of Operation developed with the consolidated policies/guidelines for the various services/programs implemented by the LSWDO. • complete plantilla position supported with continuous education and training • programs, projects, activities, beneficiaries, and other pertinent information are identifiable and kept properly
IMPLEMENTATION > LGU support • Work and Financial Plan • Policy formulation (children protection policy was recently approved by the Local Chief Executive) • Compensation system of the LGU employees is in place, signed Contract of Service and Copy of the staff’s appointment is available. • Social workers of the LGU are provided with Magna Carta.
LESSONS LEARNED The LSWDOs primary concerns are their clienteles therefore implementations of programs and services are motivated. Ø Ø establishing close collaboration with partner agencies, units, departments within the LGU is important to sustain the practice. thorough guidance and direction in delivering the programs and services.
RESULTS/IMPACT � As of December 2016, the LSWDO has attained a Fully Functional Gold Level as the result of the assessment of LSWDO’s programs and services
TOOLS and TECHNIQUES � � � Supervision, provision of technical assistance and regular training given by the office or by other agencies for capacity building in delivering the programs and services of the LGU and LSWDO effectively and efficiency. Comprehensive preparation and detailed review of documents needed in carrying out of programs and services. Partnership with other offices, units, departments within the LGU on resources – related concern.
IMPLICATION FOR REPLICATION The continuous support and close coordination in the provision of programs and quality services of LGU and LSWDO contributed greatly for the welfare of the citizens of Mauban. Effective working relationship with partner agencies as well as the financial support by LGU contributed in noteworthy performance as evidenced by awards, distinctions and recognitions received from various government and civil society organizations. Proper, clear, and traceable documentation of practices help in the usability and appropriateness of the processes that are likely adaptable other municipalities and/or region in performing functions.
