Child Nutrition VISIT HUMBLE ISD’S Child Nutrition Webpage to: ❏ Set up an online account! This is the preferred way for parents to add money to their child’s account. It also allows parents to monitor a child’s purchases. ❏ View/print monthly menus ❏ Curbside student meals will be available for pickup from 15 locations throughout the school district beginning Aug. 11 from 11 a. m. to noon, including WHE. ❏ Federal funding for all students to eat free has ended. Students will be charged for meals according to eligibility (free, reduced, or full paid). ❏ Beginning Aug. 24, meals will be served socially distanced on every campus for in-person learners. WHE will continue to be a curbside pickup site for virtual learners. ❏ Parents are welcome to drop lunch off in the front foyer for students.

Online vs. On Campus Instruction For 2020 -21, parents may choose Online or On

Online vs. On Campus Instruction For 2020 -21, parents may choose Online or On Campus instruction for their children. Both will be taught by WHE teachers. Beginning Tuesday, August 11 th, ALL Humble ISD students will be ONLINE for instruction. On Monday, August 17 th, students in our self contained Life Skills class may return to campus for in-person learning. Starting Monday, August 24 th, students who have opted for ON CAMPUS instruction will return to WHE. Students who have opted for ONLINE will remain in their online learning format. Your child’s current teacher is based on the choice you have made so far. If you change the option for your child, please know that you may have a teacher change. Fill out the LEARNING LOCATION FORM at any time if you need to change your choice. Change requests will be processed within a week of receipt.

ONLINE INSTRUCTION (for students choosing to remain online after august 24) ● Online students will be required to be engaged DAILY in online learning. ● There will be a daily Morning Meeting via Zoom and daily assignments on Seesaw or Google Classroom. Small group instruction via Zoom will be scheduled throughout the week. ● WHE Learning Management Systems ○ K-2 Seesaw ○ 3 -5 Google Classroom (Seesaw may be used as well) ● Assignments and assessments will be similar for both online and on campus learners. Grading policies are the same for both. Online assignments will have specific due dates. ● Online teachers will have daily “office hours” during which parents/students can contact them for assistance. ● Chromebooks for online learners who request them will be provided by WHE.

Campus Wide Co. Vid-19 safety procedures ● ● ● ● ● Face coverings are required for everyone 10 years old or older. ALL students are welcomed/highly encouraged to wear masks. Daily cleaning procedures for all classrooms (desks/tables) Use of misting machines daily after hours to further clean classrooms Hand sanitizer will be available in all classrooms and around campus Specials classes will be sanitized between classes COVID-19 Safety Signage throughout campus Students will be educated about the importance of frequent hand washing; covering a cough or sneeze; not touching one’s face. Water fountains will not be in use. Students will use personal water bottles that can be filled at our filtered water bottle filling stations.
