A- Adjacent Hypotenuse Opposite Adjacent angles are angles that are beside each other that shares a common side and also have a corner where lines meet. We were given a brief introduction on adjacent in Circle Geometry.

B-Brackets E-Exponent D-Division M-Multiply A-Addition S-Subtraction A set of rules where it’s used to guide you through a math question. BEDMAS was used in rational numbers where

C- Coefficient A number that is usually a constant that is used multiplying the variable in a math expression.

D-Diameter Dia m r e t e Any line segment that passes through the middle of the circle ending its points on the circumference. Diameter was used in circle geometry where we used it to find the radius to identify the angle, and the length of a triangle in a circle.

E-Exponents A number that tells the base how many times to multiply itself. This was used in the exponent until where we used BEDMAS to solve the equations.

F-Formula Rules used in surface area to find the area of a shape. Different shapes has different formulas

le ng ta c Re G-Geometry Cylinder Cube A mathematic topic that deals with points, angels, lines, and shapes. This year we did circle geometry where we had to find angels, line segments, and the measurements of a triangle in a circle.

H-Hypotenuse The longest line/side in a triangle. Hypotenuse is used in Pythagorean Theorem to determine which numbers goes with which letters. With this we are able to determine the missing sides. a 2 + b 2 = c 2

I- Inequality A math expression that uses symbols like <, >, = to compare both sides of the number.

J-Just do It JUST DO IT! A phrase used in multiplying fractions. Just multiply the numerator by the numerator and the denominator by the denominator.

K-Kite A shape that has 4 sides and 2 equal lengths.

L-Like Terms In variables, if the variable and the exponents are the same in another term, then the both of the terms in the variable are like terms.

�A fraction where there is a whole number and a fraction. Mixed numbers can also be changed to an improper fraction where the numerator is bigger than the denominator. When solving a BEDMAS, inequality or even a circle geometry question, the outcome might be a mixed fraction M-Mixed Fraction

N-Number Line A line where positive and negative numbers are placed in the right orders. We used number lines in integers and fractions where we have to put the numbers on the right place on the number line.

P-Polynomials A math equation that consist with many terms. Polynomials can be split in to Monomial, binomial, and trinomial. We can also use models to figure out a polynomial question.

Q-Quadrant (Graph) One section of the graph where it is divided into four equal parts. The vertical line is called the yaxis and the horizontal line is called the x- axis. We used graph in liner equations, and liner relations.

R-Reciprocal is when you switch the numerator and the denominator in fractions. Reciprocal is used in dividing fractions. Since you can’t really divide fractions, you must use reciprocal to switch the second expression in the equation.

S-Surface Area The total sum of the area in a three dimensional shape. This year we took it further and learned how to find the surface area of a composite shape. Formula

T-Tangent Ta ng 90 en t de g ree A line that follows the circumference of a circle. The tangent is perpendicular to the radius at a point. We used the tangent line to find the degree in each legs.

U-Unlike Terms In variables, if the term and the exponents are the not the same, then the terms are unlike terms. Unlike terms is used in polynomials, exponents and in inequalities. If the terms are unlike, then you can not add or subtract.

V-Variable is a letter that represents an unknown number. The most common variables are x and y. Variables are used in many of the chapter that we learned.

W-Whole numbers is a number that are not a fraction or a decimal.

X- X (variable) X X variable is one of the most common variable used in an equation.

Y- Axis On the graph the y axis is the vertical line.
