Over the next 2 lessons, you will create your OWN surrealist image. You must start with a simple outline. 1. You must include a skull somewhere within your image 2. Take inspiration from the artist you chose last lesson 3. Something you line or that interests you. 1. Position - Where on your page are you going to draw your objects. 2. Size - How big are the objects you are drawing? Are they in proportion to each other? 3. Shape- This is where you look closely as your image and draw the exact lines you can see. Remember don’t press on hard. 4. Tone- Leave the lightest points on your drawing completely pencil free these are your highlights. Look for the darkest shadows and begin shading them in neatly in the same direction blending from dark to light. 5. Texture – Add mark making to represent different details such as fur. You should focus on the 5 main steps of drawing as your starting point! What must you include within your drawing? 5 steps of drawing Develop tone and texture within your work. Add colour.
