Girls life vs Boys life The first Girls’ Life magazine, above from left, is very stereotypical. It focuses on fashion, beauty, makeup, boyfriends and first kisses. It very briefly mentions getting As but the font is small, which makes it seem dismissive and not that important. Titles like ‘Your dream hair’ and ‘Ways to slay on the first day’ proves that this version of the magazine focuses on trying to put forward the idea that girls should sit still and look pretty all the time. The Boys Life magazine encourages boys to think about their future and question different career options. The main cover image isn’t of a person like the Girls’ Life magazine but instead uses different images that symbolize different careers, which can then provoke boys to think about that path for their future. The improved version of the Girls’ Life magazine, above right, uses the exact same layout as the original magazine but instead uses more encouraging
