Courses offered at MRHS Chinese (some sync) French German Italian Spanish 1 1 1 2/2 H 2/2 H 3/3 H 3/3 H 4 AP 4 AP 4 H - 5 AP - - 5 AP MS - passed level 1, enter HS in level 2/2 h (Spanish, French, Chinese) MS - passed level 2, enter HS in level 3/3 h (Spanish, French, Chinese) Sync : a course taught in same classroom with teacher, students from other schools participate digitally *Note that Level 2 and beyond is now Honors / Regular combined for ALL languages, only Honors beyond 4

HS Graduation Requirements • 2 World Language credits are required by HCPSS to graduate. • Most 4 -year universities want to see at least 3 (consecutive) years of language study

Opportunities in WL at MRHS -AP Test (May of AP year, scored 1 -5, some colleges/universities give credit for scores 3 -5) -National exams (Spring, levels 2 -4, opportunity to participate and earn a national ranking) -National Honor Societies (we have over 200 students across 6 societies) • a way to help tutor students in lower levels • great for college applications • earn a cord for graduation
