Germany -Germans start celebrating karneval, fastnacht, fasnet, fosnat, fasching, fasteleer, or Fastelofvend on 11/11 at 11: 11 am until the Monday before Ash Wednesday. They have parades, people wearing costumes, decorative floats (where candies are being thrown to the crowd), and parties. Brazil - Brazilians celebrate carnival 46 days before Easter. They have huge parades with amazing floats and costumes. A lot of music and dancing especially samba dances and picnics and parties. New Orleans -Mardi Gras in on March 4 th and it is celebrated with music, parades, picnics, floats, costumes, and excitement. People usually wear purple, gold, and green the mardi gras colors. They represent justice, power, and faith. The anthem is “ If ever I cease to love”.
