What is Career & Technical Education Dual Credit (CTE DC)? Classes are offered at many high schools and skill centers in partnership with community and technical colleges. Students earn both high school and college credit for successfully completing the same class. CTE Definition & Best Practices Leads to a professionaltechnical two-year degree, two-year certificate, apprenticeship, employment or further education. Earned credits may or may not transfer to four-year institutions or other colleges outside the state’s community/technical college system. Inform students that CTE credits, including those awarded through direct transcription, may transfer as an elective to four-year institutions or other colleges outside of the state’s community and technical college system. Post Grades • Participating instructors use the SERS to enter grades and verify student completion of articulated courses during the specified timeline.
