March 31, 2014. 125 years ago today, the Eiffel Tower was officially completed in Paris after 2 years, 2 months, and 5 days of construction. It stood as the gateway for the 1889 Exposition Universelle (World’s Fair) in honor of the 100 th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille, and continues to make an impact on the world’s conscious today.
