2017 Maple Syrup Production Highlights • Increased production in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Ohio, West Virginia • Production unchanged in Indiana and Minnesota • Decreased production in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Wisconsin • Season lasted an average of 37 days compared to 33 days last year

2017 Maple Syrup Production Highlights • Number of taps – decreased in Wisconsin – Unchanged in Pennsylvania – increased in all other States • Producers were encouraged to tap earlier by the warmer than normal temperatures. • The earliest sap flow reported was January 1 in Indiana, Ohio, New York, and Vermont
