Worms Eye View: Definition: A view as seen from below
What is a point of view? • Writers tell a story from a certain person's point of view: • 1 st person- Uses “I”, one character’s point of view • 2 nd person- Uses “you and or yours” to constantly address the other person • 3 rd person- Uses “he, she, or they; ” for a narration • An Artists also create points of view through visual art. There are 3 views that artists choose from: • Eye level view: Looking straight at an object (point out) • Worms eye view: Looking up at an object. (point up) • Birds eye view: from above the object (point down)

Characteristics of a Worms Eye View • View of an object from below, as though the observer were a worm • opposite of a bird's-eye view • can be used to look up to something to make an object look tall, strong, and mighty while the viewer feels childlike or powerless
The rule of thirds - states that if you divide any composition into thirds, vertically and horizontally, then place the key elements of your image along either of these lines.
Choose a Worms eye view to draw and paint from the next slide. • Paint the background first, let it dry. Then paint the worms eye view object. This will take 2 -3 weeks for most pictures.
