Hanashi no suji はなしのすじ • Mangaまんが are more like a book and have more complex storylines than Western comics. • Anime あにめ are usually まんが brought to life as an animation • Common themes are friendship, honesty, love, history, finance, politics etc. • Characters are normal people who end up in unusual situations or have a ‘secret other life’.
