The factory default locale for the UC 500 is US/ English. • Separate UC 500 software packs are provided for the Model UC 520, UC 540, and UC 560 platforms. You must download the correct. zip file for your UC 500 platform. • The UC 500 software pack bundles all the necessary platform files together with all of the necessary language files and phone files for the default locale, which is US/English. Each locale pack is a single file containing phone language files, voice mail language files, network tones, and cadences to localize voicemail and phones (locales for Cisco Model 79 xx, SPA 525, SPA 50 x, and CP-52 x phones). UC 500 Locale Packs are named UC 500 -Version-locale_xx_XX. zip, where xx_XX indicates the language and country of that locale. • A locale pack can be provided when installing software on the U C 500 via CCA in order to install an alternate language on the UC 500.
