Recognition for all research outputs Collaboration Increases quality of scientific practice Cost/time efficient http: //chemorphesis. ucsd. edu/catalysis/chemistry. html https: //doi. org/ 10. 5281/zenod o. 3457547 3
Benefits of data management • Recognition for all research outputs – Set up an ORCID account and couple it with PURE – https: //www. tudelft. nl/library/orcid • Increased citations (25% Colavizza et al. ar. Xiv: 1907. 02565 v 2) 4
University Policies TU Delft Research Data Framework Faculty Policy • All individuals involved in research – Share code/data in a repository – The minimal requirement is the deposition of the numerical data (processed data) underlying the figures in academic papers and Ph. D theses. • Ph. D’s – – – Before 2019: encouraged to share data but not required 2019: Share code/data underlying the articles/thesis 2020: write a Data Management Plan in the first year • Part of the Go/No-Go meeting • Supervisor is responsible for reviewing and approving the DMP and the Faculty Data Steward can be contacted for support. 5
