Prepare an outline l Use Outline Mode l Can import Word outline l Adapt and built content or l Create new outline with main points and appropriate sub-points l Use the Promote & Demote buttons for different indent “bullet” levels
Select a Design Template Click on the design you feel has the best “look and feel” for your purpose, audience, and content l You can change later, but EACH design applies to ALL the slides l
In Slide or “Normal” Mode, modify Layout as needed

Insert Graphics in Slide Mode l l Use Clip Art Insert art, pictures, Internet graphics, Excel spreadsheets and charts, etc. using the Copy/Paste Clipboard Insert picture from File Insert picture directly from a scanner
Use Slide Sorter to Add transitions (special effects between slides) l Add builds (bullet points appear one at a time using special effects) l Rearrange order of slides l Insert new slides l Hide Slides (which you can use if needed) l
Test Run your presentation in Slide Show Mode l Practice l From the Slide Sorter Mode, select SLIDE SHOW / REHEARSE TIMINGS to practice and SAVE timings of each slide l Practice, noting timing and pacing l Modify based on practice sessions
Go to Note Mode Add notes l The Notes are for your use l l Text of your oral presentation l Additional facts and details to highlight l Quotations l Notes also make good handouts in some situations
SAVE PRESENTATION and/or PRINT OUT You can selectively print OUTLINE AUDIENCE HANDOUT 6 -slides per page NOTES PAGE PRINTED OVERHEAD
