SECC: Local Highlights § 2018 state employees in El Paso raised $188, 192 § 2018 568 UTEP Faculty and Staff participated and contributed $102, 921 through the S. E. C. C. campaign § UTEP employees accounted for over 55% of the total raised in El Paso.

“Miners Give” Teachable Moment • The SECC Committee discussed early on about getting our students involved in the process, while being mindful of their financial burdens. • We recommend taking 5 -10 minutes of your class time the week of October 14 to discuss the idea of giving and generosity with our students. • The SECC will provide a few PPT slides that you can use in your classes for this purpose. • We are still exploring ways on how students might be able to give; we will update the UTEP community as plans are being finalized
