Make-Up Reflection Questions Q 1) What Make-Up & tools did I use & how?

Make-Up Reflection Questions Q 1) What Make-Up & tools did I use & how? We used a make-up sponge with the paint & used gentle dabs & strokes to apply it to her face. We then used an eyeliner pencil to draw a scar on her face. The final touch was dabbing fake blood to the area of the “scar”. Q 2) What problems did you encounter when applying the make-up? When using the eyeliner pencil we were troubled by some smudging, also, when using the fake blood we noticed it was not dripping as much as we expected it to. Q 3) What effect do you think your make-up will have on the audience? The audience will believe that the antagonist will have been through a large amount of pain & suffering. This is shown through the massive scar on the side of her face. The audience may also get a sense of fear as the antagonist could be really dangerous due to the pain they had to endure infuriating them. The make-up was a deathly pale white, which is a common convention of the horror genre as it is the colour of skeletons & dead people so the audience will hopefully be frightened by the make-up. This particular make-up doesn’t apply to MY poster but it does help me to figure out how to apply the make-up properly. The red used for the blood also applies to the horror genre as it is the colour of blood & proper use of it in make-up cane send shivers down a viewers spine. The finished “product”. A work in progress.
