Student associations also convene at the freedom square for meetings. Makerere students converge at the university’s Freedom Square to be awarded with degrees and Ph. Ds in different courses. Constant strikes Makerere university is widely known for strikes that happen almost every semester. The university council at so many times fails to resolve student’s grievances amicably.

Mak poor structures Some structures at makerere university are in a sorry state. They require renovation.

Poor sanitation • Thus includes poor disposal of rubbish • Dirty toilets in halls of residence and at some colleges.
