It is also a very active centre for research.

Though some were built far back they are still on point because the regular maintenance. These are the awesome administration blocks, the main building and the senate building.

q Quality content This university produces people who are competitive in the market and most alumnus have made it in life. Lecturers make you to redo papers once you fail to get the pass mark this has kept the credibility of Makerere. These are some the prominent alumnus. Huge land conserved environment q. Makerere university has got large chunk of land which has helped i to run its projects and innovations. q Managed to build an incubation center at the school of Food Science Nutrition And Technology for study and economic purposes. q The university deserves the award for conserving the environment with the natural green vegetation and trees all around , provides a conducive environment for reading and resting of students. Places lik the freedom square and the lovers park plus compounds at every college.

RESPECT OF RELIGION � There is freedom of worshiping at Makerere university and all religions are equally represented � There is the St Francis Chapel for Anglicans, St Augustine for Catholics, the mosque to the Muslims and other fellowships for Born again and Seventh day Adventist were students and staff they converge without any restriction. CLOSER SERVICE PROVIDERS � Makerere accommodate almost all bank service centers like stanbic, centenary , DFCU , Post bank and mobile money services. This has reduced cases of money theft and conmen which were high in the past � Typing , printing and photocopying services at all the halls of residence and at colleges. These help students to do their course works in time �Catering services like restaurants in halls and outside for example All seasons, Guild canteen and vendors who provide food to students at a reduced price

THE BAD OF MAKERERE UNIVERSITY �Dirty toilets �Makerere has dirty toilets with blocked water pipes threatening health of students. This is one of unpleasant toilets at the faculty of Arts.

FEW AND UNBALANCED HALLS OF RESIDENCE �There are only 3 female students’ halls of residence out of the 9 halls all the rest are male halls that’s Africa, Mary Stuart and complex � Livingstone, Nsibirwa, Mitchell, Nkrumah, Lumumba and University hall are all male halls

ENDLESS STRIKE AT THE IVORY TOWER Tear gas and & Brutal arrests It has become a habit for students to strike every semester which is tarnishing the brand of the institution. And the police brutally handle students which make them more hostile.

OTHER BAD THINGS ABOUT MAKERERE �Rude officers, in the offices there are tough officers who embarrass students for example the college Registrar of CHUSS �With a lot of bureaucracy at the institution, officers are again so harsh to the students. �Though there are loopholes around, Makerere University has more goods than bad. �
