“One Day of Life” Written by Manlio Argueta. Centered upon Guadalupe Guardado and her family. The time span in the novel is one full day ranging from 5: 30 am to 5 pm. Takes places Chalatenango in El Salvador.
Main Argument My main argument is that the lower classes are being exploited by their corrupt governments through hard work and low wages. Furthermore corrupt government officials fail to take notice that law enforcement have abused their power by mistreating its country’s citizens.

Conclusion Government corruption taking place in many Central American countries must come to a screeching halt because not only is it weakening the country’s economic growth. It is also forcing its citizens to suffer from poverty, hunger, gang violence, and injustice.
